Name: Aria (brand), Allied Stores, Detrola; (where?)    (USA)
Abbreviation: aria
Products: Model types
Summary:

Aria was a private brand of the department store chain Allied Stores, not to be confused with Allied Radio [Radio Trade Name Directory, Bill Harris, 1993]. Allied Stores also used the Ambassador brand under Allied Stores Purchasing.

Models from different manufacturers, e.g. Sentinel or Wells-Gardner, were sold under the Aria brand. Such models have the Aria logo on the front or printed in the dial scale, and commonly the manufacturer is shown on stickers or type plates on the chassis. Usually, they were also sold under their original brand.
After WW2 the Aria brand appears on Detrola models in a different style.
