Name: Cameradio Co.; Pittsburgh, PA    (USA)
Abbreviation: cameradio
Products: Model types Tube wholesaler
Summary:

Cameradio Co. was established in Pittsburgh, PA in 1919. Their address was 601-3 Grant Street in 1936, but by 1938 had changed to 963 Liberty Street in Pittsurgh. In the mid-1930s, they opened a second location at 30 Twelfth Street in Wheeling, WV. They were primarily a radio parts wholesaler, and dealt with PA and sound equipment, test equipment and amateur radio receivers, transmitters and accessories. They produced a very extensive catalog each year.

In 1938, Cameradio Co. introduced their new line of radio receivers under the trade name "Cameo." These included tabletop and console household radios, automotive receivers, as well as several chassis. Apparently, these receivers were only produced one year, as the Cameo line did not appear in the 1939 or 1940 Cameradio Co. catalogs.
