Quasar Engenharia was founded by the Sresnewsky family in the early 60s, specializing in the development and production of audio equipment. Their products were high priced, so not oriented to the mass market and were in the threshold between home audio and professional audio.

The company operated from early 60s until about 1985. Throughout this time produced a wide range of sound equipment that included:
20 amps/receivers, 38 speakers systems, equalizers, audio mixers, preamp, record players, tuners, vu meters, echo chambers, spectrum analyzers, sound processors, headphones, microphones, etc. besides sound reinforcement equipment for large environments.
