History:

From about 1926 Mechanical Supplies Limited of Grenfell St., Adelaide were the South Australian agents for Kelvinator refrigeration products. In 1934 the company obtained the rights to manufacture Kelvinator refrigerators. With a newly expanded factory in the Adelaide suburb of Keswick, Mechanical Supplies Limited changed their name to Kelvinator (Australia Limited). Over the years the company expanded and manufactured all kinds of both domestic & commercial refrigeration, air-conditioning and other whitegoods. For a brief period between 1955 & 1961 Kelvinator marketed rebadged HMV & Pye radio & television receivers.
