A new branch of Tektronix inc. of Beaverton, Oregon USA started production on the island of Guernsey in 1958. When production facilities had settled in 1961 a new subsidiary was formed: Tektronix Guernsey Ltd.

Guernsey is a jurisdiction within the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a self-governing possessions of the British crown , situated in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy.

Tek had two production plants on Guernsey: Victoria Avenue and La Villiaze. They also had training facilities for customers and service staff from whole of Europe at Victoria Avenue. Headquarters for Tek's European operations was located in St.Peter Port.

Tektronix Guernsey ended production in 1990, thus releasing 220 employees.
