History:

The CyberHome trademark was registered in the USA in August 2004.It is cancelled since March 2012, with the last owner being Al Wifaq General Trading LLC in Dubai in the UAE.

CyberHome Enternainment, Inc. in USA filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code in CA in September 2006. They were involved in numerous litigations prior, as for instance about the loss of licensing of the DVD consortium. In summer 2006, 20,000 CyberHome DVD players were seized due to licensing issues with Philips.

Cyberhome Europe AG was renamed Lexington Technology Europe AG in February 2007. In March the same year they filed for bankruptcy. They were not directly associated with the USA or Taiwan companies, but apparently operated under an agreement to use the brand.

Cyberhome Entertainment Co., Ltd. changed its name to Protop Technology Co., Ltd. in March 2007. They were founded in 1980.

Protop shifted to OEM manufacturing after 2007.
