The American Electrical Heater Co. was incorporated in September 1894.

By 1995 they were part of Assembly Technologies International Inc. under the American Beauty division.

The manufacturing plant off of Woordward Ave in Detroit, a building designed by architect Albert Kahn, was demolished in 2012.
