Distributors of GEC branded household entertainment consumer products.

Founded: 1968
History:

Formerly AEI (Associated Electrical Industries)

In 1967 in the largest take-over in British industrial history, GEC acquired the world-wide facilities of Associated Electrical Industries Ltd. In the following year another large amalgamation occurred when a merger was negotiated with the English Electric Co Ltd, an organisation with similar world-wide ramifications.

These moves meant, in early 1968 the merger in Australia of the GEC, AEI into a single company. [1]
