Elcom Marketing Ltd. was a private Canadian Corporation operating out of 101 Richmond St. West., Toronto ON, Canada, starting on December 4, 1957. The company marketed a line of replacement coils and transformers under the ELCOM Brand for the Radio and TV industry, cross-referenced to original part numbers of various manufacturers.

By 1962 the address on their manuals had been changed to 123 Manville Rd., Scarborough, Ontario.

Around 1964, Elcom expanded their product line to include other parts including lamps, capacitors, resistors and solid-state devices, and by 1970 the company also had a dedicated replacement manual for a wide range of semiconductor parts.

By 1972 “Lake Engineering Co. Ltd.” and their logo was added to the  Elcom replacement manuals, operating at the same address as the Elcom Company. Their Branding continued to feature the ELCOM line of products.

Lake Engineering had its beginning on May 19, 1955.
