History:

George Ernest Frederick Birks & Victor Henry Smith traded as Radio Retailers in 1936. In August 1937, the partnership was dissolved, and Birks carried on the business. [1]

In 1938 the Ashbox Midget kitset radio was advertised in The Bulletin and Australasian Radio world.[2][3]

Advertising ceased from early 1939.
