This company began operations as Zytron Tube Corp. in 1956. The name was changed to Zalytron Tube Corp. in 1958. They sent customers newsletters until at least 1970. The standard range of receiving tubes were available.

The 1968 catalog lists over 800 tubes made with the Zalytron brand. Manufacturer of these tubes is not known. Tubes with the Mullard brand from the UK and also the GEC (MOV - UK) sub brand Gold Lion were also listed. These GEC tubes were special quality types, branded Genalex. The company also sold Raytheon tubes.
