Bulova Watch Corp. was founded in 1875 by Joseph Bulova.
In 1926 Bulova produces the nation's first radio commercial, "At the tone, it's 8 P.M., B-U-L-O-V-A, Bulova watch time." In 1928 the first clock radio was introduced. In 1935 Joseph Bulova dies. In 1944 Josephs son Ardé Bulova founded a watchmaking school for disabled veterans, the "Joseph Bulova School", which was openend in 1945.
1968: The Bulova Satellite Clock was the world's first public clock regulated by time signals from orbiting satellites.
1979: Bulova becomes a subsidiary of "Loews Corporation". |
