|
History: |
They were dealers for the high-end Gambrell radios which they marketed under the Gambrell-Halford brand in the early 1930s. [1] In the mid-1930s they sold their receiver's chassis only, leaving the customer to make his own choice of cabinet out of the many designs available and for which he is charged extra. They advertised the Halford Phantom XV all-wave, 13-valve receiver with a chromium chassis in 1938.[2] In March 1939 they announced they had taken over the manufacture, sale & service of Epoch Speakers. They stated they will concentrate principally on the 16-inch Auditorium model. [3] [1] Wireless World Apr 13, 1932, Page Ad 12. |
