History:
The Warren clock company was established in 1912. The Telechron motor clock movement was patented in the late teens and clocks began to display the Telechron logo. In 1926, the company changed its name to The Warren Telechron Company. General Electric always had a vested interest in the company and, gradually in the late 1940s, acquired the company and Telechron became a division within General Electric.
The Warren Telechron Company is best known for its synchronous motor clock which was the dominant electric timekeeping device in the USA for the majority of the 20th Century, both at home and in industry.
