History:

In 1924, Amplion speakers were imported and sold in the US by sole distributor Signal Electric Mfg. Co. in Menominee, MI and in Canada by Burndept of Canada, Ltd. in Toronto.

In December 1924, The Amplion Corporation of America was founded to market and manufacture speakers under the Amplion patents held by Alfred Graham & Co., London, England.[1]

Burndept remained Canadian agent until 1926 when The Amplion Corporation of Canada, Ltd. in Toronto took over.

Professional sound equipment was sold by the Amplion Products Corp. from ca. 1931 on.

The Amplion Corp. of America went out of business in 1933, Amplion Products Corp. closed in 1938.[2]
