Name: Radiofon-Radiofabrikk, A/S; Bergen    (N)
Abbreviation: radiofon
Products: Model types
Summary:

A/S Radiofon-Radiofabrikk, Bergen.

Founded: 1945
Closed: 1952
Production: 1946 -
History:
Leif Minde started Radiofon A / S just after the war. Radiofon A/S started it's radioproduction in an old barrack built by the Germans during World War ll, in Løbergsveien 91x in Solheim, Bergen, Norway.

As far as we know, the factory sold radios from 1946. The radio-market in Norway was escalating at this point. Many of the radios confiscated from Norwegian families by Gestapo, had disappeared. In Bergen there were Ola Radio and Radiofon radiofactories.

In the center of Bergen the company had a division for marine equipment as well, and many of the small producers were unable to follow new technology. Radiofon A/S ended as a company in 1952 and was not existing anymore in 1953.
