The company produced marine receivers and radios under the Sailor brand. Television and radio receivers for the home were manufactured until ca. 1965.

History:

S.P. Radio was founded by Simon Petersen in 1930. In 1948 the company was reorganized as S.P. Radio A/S.

The radio and television production was discontinued in 1965 and partially taken over by Bang & Olufsen.

SP Radio was sold to EuroCom Industries in 1993. The brand was temporarily marketed by the Belgian company SAIT (Société Anonyme Iternationale de TSF) via their Radio Holland subsidiary.

As of 2021, Sailor products are conceived and made by Cobham SATCOM under the Radio Holland umbrella.
