Factory was founded in 1866 as sugar factory. In 1917 renamed to "Москож", since 1935  "Московский завод лодочных моторов, учебно-курсовой комбинат №1.", Moscow boat engine factory, education-training centre N°1.
Since 1939 "Московский инструментально-протезный завод им. Семашко", Moscow prosthetic instrument factory n. Semashko.

In 1951 transformed into "Московский электромеханический завод №1", Moscow elektromechanical factory.
In 1999 company went bankrupt, in 2007 company finished.
