Fuller's United Electric Works Ltd. was set up in 1919 to combine the activities of John C. Fuller and Son (est. 1875), Fuller Accumulator Co. (est. 1915), Fulller's Wire and Cable Co. (est. ca 1914) and Fuller's Carbon and Electrical Co. (est. ca 1918). In 1926, the Fuller Accumulator Co. (1926) Ltd. was established to take over the business of Fuller's, which was in liquidation at the time. In 1928, the National Accumulator Co. held shares in Fuller Accumulator. Controlling interest passed to the hands of Chloride Electrical Storage Co. in 1929 when they acquired Fuller. The brand Sparta was continued for a time. |
