They made portable radios ranging from one-tube to four-tube sets. A four-valve set was on exhibition at the Olympia Exhibition which had either a class B or pentode output stages. [1]

"Self Coupling" tubes with bases having 3 grooves around the bakelite were made for them by Hivac. These grooves had an anode choke wound in them. [1]

For 1930-31 Adey Radio, Ltd., are concentrating upon their range of portable receivers, which are of somewhat unconventional design. They are claimed to utilise a new patent circuit, and each is controlled by a " key " at the top. Three models are available. The 1-valve instrument, in a small suitcase, provides headphone reception and sells at £3 17s. 6d., complete with phones, and ready for use.

The two and 4-valve sets, retail at £8 15s. and £12 15s. respectively, each incorporating a Celestion speaker.
