Britannia Batteries Ltd. Branches in Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Dublin etc. |

History: |
At least during the late 1920s and early 1930s they produced or imported HT batteries, Grid batteries, Flag Cells and Lead Acid Accumulators with Pertrix brand and apparently same catalogue numbers as German Pertrix branded packs for the Dry Cell packs (see Varta Germany). Ready Radio only recommended Pertrix HT & Grid batteries, with "Block" or Pertrix for Accumulator in early 1930s (or possibly late 1920s). Their publications only have adverts for Pertrix Batteries (by Britannia Batteries) using the same logo as German Pertrix. Britannia Batteries and NIFE Batteries Ltd. are merged to form Alkaline Batteries Ltd. in 1947. |
