Between 1954 and 1957 radioreceivers are constructed at Electromagnetica because Radio Popular enterprise could not answer the market demands. Radioreceivers of the type EM 541, S520 were created with kits brought from SSRU and Hungary.

History:
In 1927 Standard Electrica Romana SA is founded. The company assembled telephones and centrals with composing parts brought from England. In 1948 it becomes Vestitorul factory producing also measuring devices and electric meters.
In 1951 it takes the name of Electromagnetica. The activity is expanded so to include automatization equipment for CFR (Romanian Railway Company), rectifiers, relays etc.
In 1957 the name of the company is again changed, now to Grigore Preoteasa and the production includes telephones and telephone centrals. In 1962 it becomes back Electromagnetica, a company specialized in telephony. In 1990 it becomes a shares society and its activity also includes the supply of services.
