Abbreviation: raleigh
Products: Model types
Summary:

Raleigh (Kaysons International, Ltd.)
6500 Flotilla St.
Los Angeles, CA 90022 (1971)

Raleigh is a brand of transistor radios and tranceivers that were manufactured in the Far East and imported to the US by Kaysons International, Ltd. during the 1960's to 1970's.

The earlier Raleigh models were made in Japan by at least four different manufacturers.  Three manufacturers are identified with Japan Codes 201, 508, and 903.  The fourth is Ohmiya Denshi Sangyo for the manufacture of tranceivers.  Later models were manufactured in Hong Kong by Universal Appliances Ltd., and perhaps others.

History:

There are several different badge and logo styles for the Raleigh brand.  At least one known model has a reference to Raleigh Electronics Corp.  There is no way to reliably sort and differentiate these variations so all "Raleigh" models of this vintage should be filed under Kaysons.

This manufacturer was suggested by Wolfgang Scheida.
