History:
William W. ("Bill") Storer (call sign G6JQ, Member Leicester Radio Society, founded 1912) started a radio business named "Fox Radio" in Thrussington, near Melton Mowbray in 1937. This closed when he joined Air Transport Auxiliary as a Pilot during WWII.
After the War in 1945 he re-commenced his business and then merged with "Voice & Vision" (formed by Harold Tyler G6GF)and moved to Rutland Street, Leicester employing up to a dozen in his factory.
The company was then named Radiovision
The most popular product initially was the re-engineered War Surplus R1155 set sold as the V55R. Later they developed two models of their own design, the "Hambander" and in 1947 the "Commander".
Bill Storer died in 5th March 1993.

1945 vom ehemaligen Royal-Air-Force Piloten und Funkamateur William W.Storer (G6JQ,) in Leicester gergündet. Wahrscheinlich im gleichen Jahr Fusion mit Voice& Vision.
Storer baute bereits 1937 Amateurfunkgeräte in seiner Firma "Fox Radio" in Thrussington.
Als erstes Gerät kam der VR55R, ein Umbau des Surplusempfängers R 1155.
1947 folgte der "Commander", ein 10 Röhren Super mit Quarzfilter. Es wurde auch ein "Hambander" produziert. Über Anzahl der gebauten Geräte und Produktionsschluss ist nichts bekannt.
William Storer starb 1993.
