Founded: 1944

Fujiya is a famous cake shop established in 1910.

Fujiya Electric was established in 1944 as subsidiary of Fujiya Ltd.

In 1944 the cake shop was closed and they started electric equipment  manufacturing as their new business.

After the end of war the cake shop was restarted and Fujiya Electric continued their business.

During the 1950’s to 1960’s, Fujiya manufactured tape recorders, phono-motors and radios.

In 1965, Fujiya Electric accepted capital from NEC.

Fujiya Electric changed their name into Fujiya Audio in 1977.

In 1984, the name was changed to NEC Gunma.
