telefunken: AC-Battery Power Switch on TFK Atlanta de Luxe 101 or 105
? telefunken: AC-Battery Power Switch on TFK Atlanta de Luxe 101 or 105

Hello:
I just received a shipment of a Telefunken Atlanta de Luxe 105 radio. It is the USA version of the Atlanta de Luxe 101.
Question: Is there an AC-Battery switch anywhere on this radio? Or, is the switching automatic when the mains is connected or disconnected?
It doesn't work at all on batteries. The seller claims that it worked on AC. It has a European style AC plug and I don't have an adapter.
I have looked all over the radio and can't find an AC-Battery switch. Is it hidden someplace?
I have an Atlanta de Luxe 101 that is buried away in storage. It worked fine on batteries.
I never operate my radios on AC, just on batteries.
Any guidance or information would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks,

Probably, this radio has a detachable mains cable with a "C7/C8" connector according to IEC 60320 (look at the Wikipedia article about IEC 60320 for details), the same connector as is used for the mains cable of almost all radiorecorders from 1980's onwards. The AC/battery switch, S700-S701 in the schematic, is then integrated in the mains inlet so it will automatically switch to AC when the mains cable is connected to the radio.
