Gary,

please take a look at this model.

Yours is missing the instruction manual.

Purpose:of this measuring bridge:

Testing wirewound resistors, galvanometers, electrolytic resistors, lightning rods and earth resistance.

I will ask the owner who has uploaded the paper wether he can provide it in higher resolution.

Kind Regards,

Georg

Hi Georg,

I will have a look inside it and see how the earphone functions. Possibly think, providing an audio indication of the null when the resistance is balanced.

Appreciate your help, thanks,

Gary

Gary,

according to the instruction manual, the bridge is in balance when "noise in the earphone is as lowest as possible". Seems to be much more precise than the little instrument.

No information about the earphone, but at this times they was 2000 or 4000 ohms.

Meanwhile I have asked the owner. Maybe he has also details what is hidden underneath the lid.

Kind Regards,

Georg
