Dear fellow collectors,

I am in posession of an early AA5 in a very beautiful Ingraham-built case (equiv. to http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/emerson_250aw.html), except that the grille is designed slightly different and these knobs are used: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/emerson_25a_25_a_chg4.html

There are no markings of the manufacturer of this radio. The typical places (frontside below the grille, back cover and chassis) are also empty.

The speaker is a Best, and the tube line up is that of the 250AW, which is alltogether not really helpful. I haven't had a chance to compare the chassis' yet, but that's underway.

My question is: have there been "no-name" manufacturers that used Ingraham cases? Or maybe this is an Emerson radio built for sale under a different branding?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

ps I will attach some fotos as soon as my cam is back from repair.

Dear friends,

I was finally able to produce some pictures which I hope will be helpful in identifying this little radio.

Edit: rear cover.

Thanks for your comments,
All the best,
Mark
