I did buy a Mini Whip Antenna to install in a 1951 Zenith Trans Oceanic H500.

Can an active antenna cause a damage in a old tube radio?

Right now, after the test with the mini whip, the radio is receiving only on broadcast (very well with a battery replica).

But I lost the short waves, even trying with the original telescopic antenna of the radio.

I am worried because, I have another ZTO H500 that I could try the mini whip antenna, but I do not want to damage a second radio if the defect was caused by the active antenna.

Many thanks.
