Hello, all radiofrend's

To all my friends and collectors of the "old Radio" from all over the world, I am going to ask a question here that I would like someone to answer, I walk with this question under my tongue to ask it. Maybe someone already put it here, and I didn't notice it.
Question:

Whenever I load a new old radio or an existing one, whatever the date of manufacture is always "Category: Radio - Tuner past WW2". Even if it is a radio with the date of manufacture, before WW2 1930, (RFS without reaction), for example 1944 or more, they are all "Radio - or Tuner passed WW2".
Why not choose the other option? Radio or Tuner before WW2? I think this is the most correct, it is my opinion, and it is worth what it'is.
My sincere and cordial compliments, and that all radiofrend's
and that all are exempt from the symptom of coronavirus, (COVID-19). And the whole world.

Hello Júlio,

the selection for new model proposals ask ”Broadcast Receiver - or past WW 2 Tuner”. A tuner past WW 2 means more of a hi-fi component or a modern stereo system. This did not exist before WW 2. The radio (broadcast receiver), however, can be older, it’s an universal entry. One does not affect the other.

Addendum: I assume that we are talking about the English language selection (you have chosen the English forum settings too). I can't comment on the other languages in the model type selection - but please note that not everything is perfect in RM either

Hello Eilert

Thanks for your clarification, at the end of your text you end with the phrase, "in RMorg not everything is perfect".
I fully agree with what you say, and more, I consider that Rmorg is one of the best platforms in this area, old radios, if not the best, at least I don't know another one, and thanks to our friend Ernst Erb the main driver of this Museum virtual, even for those unfamiliar with this subject, but who like to see or acquire an old radio, they say that they remind them of their grandparents to listen to the telepfony that they (grandparents) had to hear the little news that existed at the time.
My observation was more for those unaware of analog electronics, they turn to Google to find out if there is that radio model they found in the attic of their grandparents' house and who, out of curiosity or interest, knew details about it. Without realizing it, they are on our platform, although there is a date of manufacture, what strikes them is that it is a radio (.....), after WW2, and they are surprised, because someone had told them that it is a very old radio and manufactured before WW2. They go back to the Rmorg platform and check the date of manufacture with "eyes to see".
My cordial greetings

Júlio Branco
