Hello,

This is my first post on RM. Just joined recently.

I have a Nordmende Arabella/Isabella C chassis 4/683C.

I have the english version of the schematics. (will upload these soon for others)

What I am looking for is on the schematics some parts (ie coils) are listed by Nordmende part number only, no values are listed for the component.

Does anyone know of a cross reference of Nordmende part numbers to component value?

Thanks

Tony

Hello Adolfo,

Welcome to radiomuseum!

I'm not personally aware of such a list. But I have an almost complete library of schematics (as do other members) and I'm most positive that we'll be able to help you out.

By the way: since the export versions of radios differ in parts from domestic models - FM usually has a wider range, chassis numbers are different etc - it would be best if you navigate to the main page and start a new model suggestion with the data you got at hand. That would be the place to upload images that also show up in your personal collection. The schematics for the 4/683C should also go there.

We'll help you through the process.

Best regards
Mark

Thanks Mark for your suggestions and warm welcome!

I dont have a need right now for a part number reference just yet, but may in the process of refurbishing the unit. I noticed a coil that looks physically bad, havent tested it yet.

I do have the  english schematics  that came with the unit, they compare to the german version, from what I have seen.

I dont know if what I have is an export version but the radio looks different to the unit listed on RM  (attached pic).

Thanks

Adolfo

Hello Adolfo,

while the components (tubes etc) and most of the technical data otherwise might be identical, you can already see that the C (export) model has the extended FM range up to 108 Mc - where the domestic version only goes up to 104 Mc.

So the proper procedure is to create the model, and upload the scan of the schematic and all that to the new model page. You can do that in the process of creating the suggestion, or later, whatever is ok for you. Then in the future, when and if you need help, you'll post your questions from the new model page.

When all is done, I will move this thread to the new model page, too.

Thanks, and enjoy your stay - and the hobby!

Kind regards
Mark

Thank for confirming that this is an export model "C" , now I know.

It also has a solid state stereo decoder which I think is  after market, as I dont see it in the schematics, the domestic version has a seperate tube stereo decoder, the English or export schematics doesnt list either, from what I can see. I will need to look closer at the schematics.

I will definately create a new product page with schematics and photos, over the next few days.

Will let you know when its done so you can move this thread.

Thank again

Adolfo
