Hi radiomuseum community.

Recently I have bought a SABA Freiburg 6 with green dial.

I have noticed before that SABA has extended this variation to all the 1956 model range.

After 1956 SABA never user this dial again.

I wanna ask if someone as more information about this.

I really like to know more about this.

For years, we've repeatedly heard that Saba devices could be purchased in the following colour combinations:

  1. Dark housing/ dark dial (Standard variant)
  2. Light housing/ light (green) dial (Optional variant)

Depending on the country of purchase and the presumed buyer's taste, one or the other version was probably ordered and imported. In Switzerland, for example, light cases with a green dial are often found.

I have never found any hard factual evidence for the above claims (e.g. price lists from the time).

Hello,

many years ago I too bought a light wood finish Freiburg 6 and that also had a green dial, which I found quite attractive.
