Hello fellow collectors!

Please excuse me if I have posted this message in the wrong place; it is my first time on the forum.

I recently obtained a 1956-7 catalogue for the firm SABA (my main interest in German radio) and this catalogue lists a model "Konstanz 7", which it said was "available from September". The design of the cabinet is the same as that of the Wildbad 7M, i.e. the "Moderne" form.

This surprised me, as I cannot find this radio in any of the SABA-Kundendienstschrift, nor any reference on the site (unless I am not looking carefully). Was this set a "phantom" and never made?

Has anybody any thoughts?

Mike.

Dear Mike
You are correct: Up to day we list only KDonstanz W (1951), Konstanz-Automatic 8 (1957) and Konstanz 16 Stereo (1965). Up to this our list should be complete - anyway regarding models sold in Germany. 1956 was the year with «Nr. 7».
I remember slightly that somewhere I was discussing a model which never came on the market - but I should have placed the model into the museum - with well seen remarks that it was never made.

I would be glad to know if your catalogue is for export models (written in English) or a catalog from Germany for the local market. If it is the latter I would like to set up a «model», telling everybody that the model was never produced. If it is for foreign markets I would like to get the data to install an orinary model (for export). Maybe you can then upload some pictures from the catalogue to proove the model.

In any case thank you for your contribution to that model. By the way: There was not a great misplacing - which I corrected by now.

Hello Ernst,

A pleasure to make your acquaintance again!

The catalogue would appear to be for the German market (German language, which I can understand only just - I really must make the time to learn the language, it is becoming embarrassing that I cannot speak it). I can scan the catalogue picture and the accompanying information for you this afternoon, no problem at all; what size picture is best for the site? I assume you will want it in JPEG format.

Thank you for replying so quickly - and thank you for correcting the posting error too.

Mike.

Since this set is not in the catalogue of that period it would be grat if you could send me a picture of it. If it is the set only shure you would do it as a JPEG - Hight 1400 bei 933 pixel wide would be good. If you can also scan the sheet with the prescription to the set this would have to be in .PNG or .GIF and uploaded to the plans.

Since you are that sure I will now open a model page for it and hopefully you find the link for adding information to the set. You will find several possibilities once you click the link. For this one would be picture and the other (.PNG) for schematics ...

I will now go to the job creating model SABA Konstanz 7 and then we will see ...

I have now uploaded the information (hopefully), however I will try and remove the crease in the paper that ruins the picture somewhat. If I am successful in this effort I will resend the information to you. There is some additional information for the data page that you can incorporate within this information.
