Hello Radio Friends,

Does anyone have or know of a source for the "A/B" switch for this radio?  Mine is kaput. This is the switch that shifts the volume control between the external wheel in front of the doors and the main volume knob on the dial face.

The first photo shows its location under the chassis, and the second shows the gory details of what is left of mine.

Kind Regards,

Bob Isaac

Hello Again,

Can someone perhaps locate this switch on the schematics listed for this radio and therefore determine its values?  I can only determine that it is a 250 volt 2 amp switch.  I see that Conrad's Electronis carries a wide variety of dual pole switches (which I assume this one is) that are the "on/on" type.  If they have one with the proper values it would simple be a matter of figuring out how to mount the new switch and adjusting the metal arm that pushes the button.  And I see now that I was incorrect. This switch changes from "Sprache" to "Music" and has nothing to do with the volume control.  The knob traditionally used for volume control actually moves the internal antennae on this radio.

Thank you,

Bob Isaac

Hello Bob,
please refer to the picture and schematics:

The "Sprache-Musik" - switch, shown as (2), is dual pole.
The second pole is needed for switching the lamp, which illuminates the small window "Sprache hell - Musik dunkel".
With regards, Eike Grund
