| Description | Die historische Kuffner Sternwarte aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, gelegen am westlichen Stadtrand von Wien, demonstriert eindrucksvoll, wie in der Astronomie vor mehr als 100 Jahren geforscht wurde. Durch den guten Erhaltungszustand der historischen Instrumente ist es heute noch möglich, den Nachthimmel zu beobachten wie damals. Seit Anfang 2008 bildet die Kuffner Sternwarte gemeinsam mit dem Wiener Planetarium und der Urania Sternwarte die spezialisierten Einrichtungen für Astronomie innerhalb der Wiener Volkshochschulen GmbH. |
