The motorcycle museum is situated in Oudenburg (Close to Ostend) in the well known Motorcycle loft hotel "Groenedijk" groenedijkstraat 5A Oudenburg Belgium. |
| Description | You start with a guided visit to admire 100 motorcycles, scooters and mopeds.
Its an international collection with clip on motors as Solex, Flandria, Rex from the 50ties and older ones from the 20ties like Cyclo-Tracteur, Gnom, Alcyon but also the Puchs, Kreidlers and Mobylettes.
Previous to the 49cc the ladies types, and clergymen autocycles of 100cc Francis-Barnett, gillet and Socovel. The fifties had also an invasion of Italian scooters: Lambretta, Vespa, Puch just comming out of grand dads barn. But also Bmw R35, Gillet Herstal 500cc, BSA M20, Guzzi 850T and less known Mi-Val Italian Racer 125cc,Ducati 48 sport and Minarelli 175cc racer. Some specialities: Trike Poirier French, Fn M13 250 Ohv with very spec. frontfork American Whizzer and Whizzer Tandem motorcycle, Triumph 500cc 1914 Type H,German Triumph TWN, my favorite a Praga 500cc Ohv double camshaft from 1927 with breitfeld Danek motor, Panther M100 600cc and Scott Flying Squirrel 650cc.Triton 650cc, Speedway Weslake 500cc. |

Ongeveer 100 motorfietsen, scooters en bromfietsen zijn er tentoongesteld.
Een klein overzicht van de tentoongestelde modellen:
Naast een reeks hulpmotoren uit de jaren '50 zoals Solex, Flandria, Rex, Amo enkele oudere versies uit de jaren '20: Cyclo-Tracteur, Gnom, Alcyon, Motoconfort zijn er de Puchs, Kreidlers en Mobylettes.
Als voorlopers van de 49cc had je de pastoorsbromfietsen meestal voorzien van 100cc blok Gillet, Socovel en voorzien van lage instap voor de modieuze zwarte soutane, in Engeland Autocycles genoemd zoals Francis-Barnett. De jaren '50 werden ook gekenmerkt door een golf van Italiaanse scooters waaronder Lambretta en Vespa de meest gekende zijn en waarvan enkele modellen net uit grootvaders schuur komen. Klassiekers BMW R35, Gillet Herstal 500, BSA M20, Guzzi 850T maar ook minder bekend Mi-Val italiaanse 125cc racer ,Ducati 48 sport, Minarelli 175 cc racer, Speedway Weslake 500cc, Triton 650cc, Douglas flat twin in Koehler -Escoffier frame. Dan enkele specialiteiten: Tri-Cycle Poirier - Fn M13 250 Ohv met voorgetrokken vork en van de eerste eigenaar, drie Amerikaanse Whizzers,heren en damesmodel, alsook het tandem model van hetzelfde merk . Triumph 500cc 1914 Type H, Moussard 1924,La Mondiale 350cc 2 takt, mijn lievelings model Praga 1927 500 cc Breitfeld -Danek blok met dubbele bovenliggende nokkenas 1927, Panther M100 600cc en Scott Flying Squirrel 650cc. |
