Description Die Reise beginnt in Mesopotamien, dem heutigen Irak, wo etwa 3000 v. Chr. die künstliche Erzeugung von Glas entdeckt worden sein soll. Von dort verbreitete sich das Wissen um die Glasherstellung nach Ägypten.
Glasherstellung im Frankenwald:
Die Glasherstellung im Frankenwald blickt auf eine lange Traditiono zurück: Bereits 1661 kamen Glasmacher aus Thüringen und gründeten die erste Kleintettauer Dorfglashütte - zur Flakonglasfertigung.
