Description Das Heimatmuseum gibt einen Überblick über die 300jährige Geschichte von der Ortsgründung über die Eingemeindung nach Dessau bis zur Gegenwart.
Von besonderem Interesse ist die Ansiedlung der Junkerswerke 1906 in Alten. Hier wurden nicht nur die berühmt-berüchtigten Flugzeuge, sondern auch Motore und vor allem Gasheizgeräte entwickelt und produziert.
