Description

Die Hansestadt Lübeck rettete das Schiff 1959 vor dem Abwracken und gab ihm einen festen Liegeplatz an der Travemündung und stellte es unter Denkmalschutz. Heute sind die 56 Meter hohen Masten ein Wahrzeichen Travemündes.
Die Einrichtung und der Ausbau des Funkraumes als Seefunkstellen Museum erfolgte im Laufe des Winterhalbjahres 2008/9. Ab dem 'Tag der offenen Tür' 2009 ist der Funkraum zu besichtigen.
