| Description | Musical Instruments throughout 500 Years The Danish Music Museum was founded in 1898, and the exhibition includes musical instruments from Europe, Asia, and Africa from the 16th century through the 21st century. In future, this unique "house of music" will offer an exceptional interplay between the practising musicians and the culture-historical musical instruments. |

Musikinstrumenter igennem 3000 år Musikmuseet blev grundlagt i 1898, men dets samling går meget længere tilbage i historien. Samlingen omfatter musikinstrumenter fra Europa, Asien og Afrika fra bronzealderen og frem til vor tid. Et af formålene med flytningen er at sikre plads til Det Klingende Museum - et projekt for børn og unge, som får mulighed for at udforske alle slags musikinstrumenter inden for de tre hovedgenrer: klassisk musik - rytmisk musik - traditionel musik. |
