Southwold is a small town and civil parish on the English North Sea coast in the East Suffolk district of Suffolk. It lies at the mouth of the River Blyth within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Description

The museum building is the 1923 ex-Cromer Lifeboat shed.
The 'Alfred Corry' was the Southwold No1 Lifeboat dedicated on Easter Monday 1893. The lifeboat is housed in the museum and is undergoing a programme of full restoration to return her to her original lifeboat form. The exhibits tell the history of this Southwold rowing and sailing lifeboat and her crew, which served from 1893 to 1918, using photographs, models and some lifeboat equipment.
