With the end of World War II, most of the former Japanese military communications equipment was destroyed or dismantled, and the few remaining pieces were put to emergency use by the newly established police, security agency, broadcasting stations, and reopened amateur radio operators.

However, 55 years after the war, few people look back on these historical communication devices, and most of them are thought to have been lost without being preserved.

As someone with an interest in old military radio equipment, I am saddened by this situation and have decided to establish a museum for the purpose of preserving, researching, and exhibiting this equipment, albeit in a small way.

旧軍無線通信資料館設立にあたって
先の大戦終了に伴い、旧日本軍通信機器の大半が破棄、解体処分となり、僅かに残された一部が新設された警察、保安庁、放送局、そして再開されたアマチュア無線家他に応急使用されました。

しかし戦後55年、これら歴史的通信機器をかえり見る者は少なく、殆どの機材は保存されることなく失われたものと考えられます。

旧軍無線機器に興味を持つ者としてこの現状は悲しく、この度、微力ではありますが、これら機器の保存、研究、展示を目的とした資料館を設立する事としました。

資料館の設置場所は横浜、名称は「横浜旧軍無線通信資料館」、設立、運営は私費の非営利なものとなります。
充実した資料館構築のため、関係各位の協力をお願い申し上げます。
