Het Nederlands Transport Museumt is gevestigd in de voormalige Bolsfabriek en werd geopend op 28 april 2018.
Nieuw-Vennep is een plaats in de gemeente Haarlemmermeer gelegen in de provincie Noord-Holland. Parkeren is gratis en ook invalidenparkeerplaatsen zijn ruim voorhanden. Per trein/lijnbus:Vanaf Station Schiphol: Bus 397 brengt u in 20 à 30 minuten naar halte Getsewoud-Noord. Loop vandaar richting centrum (Operaweg), ga bij de rotonde linksaf de Lucas Bolsstraat in, waar u iets verderop aan de linkerkant ons museum aantreft.Vanaf Station Nieuw-Vennep: Bus 162 brengt u in ongeveer 8 minuten naar halte Lucas Bolsstraat. Als u de Lucas Bolsstraat in loopt bereikt u na ongeveer 4 minuten (aan de rechterkant) ons museum. Per trein/lopend:Vanaf Station Nieuw-Vennep: Loop de Venneperweg uit (circa 1,5 km – u passeert twee kerken en een winkelcentrum). Op de tweede rotonde slaat u rechtsaf, de Westerdreef in. Op de volgende rotonde gaat u linksaf de Lucas Bolsstraat in en treft u rechts ons museum. |

The 'Stichting Nederlands Transport Museum' is a partnership of 11 foundations that are active within the mobile heritage sector. A number of them have an aviation background, some are actively involved in the preservation of vehicles and there is a narrow gauge railway foundation active. The museum wants to tell stories about transport in the Netherlands, from the marshy delta 2,000 years ago to the logistics hub that the Netherlands is today. Wikipedia: De collectie, bestaande uit onder andere vliegtuigen, autobussen en diverse andere vervoermiddelen, was voorheen ondergebracht op het Hembrugterrein in Zaandam, maar kon daar niet blijven. De ‘Stichting Nederlands Transport Museum’ is een samenwerkingsverband van 11 stichtingen die actief zijn binnen de mobiel erfgoed sector. Een aantal hebben een luchtvaartachtergrond, enkelen zijn actief bezig met het behoud van voertuigen en er is een smalspoorstichting actief. Het museum wil verhalen vertellen over transport in Nederland, van de drassige delta 2.000 jaar geleden tot het logistiek knooppunt dat Nederland nu is.
