Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand.

Ferrymead Heritage Park is located in the suburb of Ferrymead, approximately 7 km from Cathedral Square in downtown Christchurch. The public entrance is on Truscotts Road near the intersection of Ferrymead Park Drive. Access is either via Ferry Road on the way to Sumner or off Martindales Road.

By car:
Take Ferry Road east from city centre towards Sumner. Take first right over Heathcote River Bridge, down Bridle Path Road and follow signs to Ferrymead Heritage Park.

By bus:
Take bus number 35 from the city.

Ferrymead Heritage Park is a museum in Christchurch, New Zealand, housing groups with historical themes, mainly transport related. Formerly known as Ferrymead Historic Park, it was founded in 1964 by groups, local government bodies and other interested parties.

The Ferrymead Two Foot Railway Society Inc. is a member society of Ferrymead Heritage Park, in Heathcote, Christchurch, New Zealand. The society operates the 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge Ferrymead Two Foot Railway on a 450 m long circuit of track at the park, adjacent to the Moorhouse railway station. Trains are operated during special events or on major operating days using two small carriages built on ex-tipping wagon chassis.
