Poles on the seas and oceans worldwide

This is a historic, cross-section exhibition about Poland’s and Poles' maritime history since the early Middle Ages until contemporary times. The exposition is richly documented with original objects found on the sea bottom during archaeological research under water.

Underwater Archaeology and Diving

The exhibition shows diving history and the most interesting archaeological sites in Poland and worldwide. The very first examples of underwater penetration come from 3000 B.C. from ancient Persia, where pearls and mother-of-pearl from the ocean bottom were traded.

Spichlerze na Ołowiance

Polacy na morzach świata

Jest historyczną, przekrojową wystawą o morskich dziejach Polski i Polaków od wczesnego średniowiecza aż po czasy współczesne. Ekspozycja jest bogato dokumentowana oryginalnymi zabytkami wydobytymi z dna morskiego w trakcie archeologicznych badań podwodnych. W części poświęconej czasom najdawniejszym można oglądać czółno wiślane z IX wieku, a także ładunek piętnastowiecznego statku handlowego nazwanego Miedziowcem, na który składają się plastry miedzi, ruda żelaza, smoła i wosk pszczeli.

Archeologia Morska i Nurkowanie

Wystawa ukazuje historię nurkowania oraz najciekawsze stanowiska archeologiczne w Polsce i na świecie. Pierwsze przykłady penetracji podwodnych głębin pochodzą z III tysiąclecia p.n.e. ze starożytnej Persji, gdzie handlowano perłami i masą perłową, wydobywaną z dna morskiego.
