Novo mesto, deutsch Rudolfswerth oder Neustadtl ist eine Stadt im Südosten Sloweniens, unweit der kroatischen Grenze und 60 Kilometer südöstlich der Hauptstadt Ljubljana (Laibach). Zur historischen Region Unterkrain gehörig liegt sie in einer Schleife des Flusses Krka (deutsch Krainer Gurk) Die Stadt hat einen Bahnhof an der Bahnstrecke Karlovac–Ljubljana. Im Hauptbahnhof beginnt eine kurze Bahnstrecke nach Straža. Straža (deutsch: Oberstrascha, auch Wardenegg) ist eine Gemeinde in der Region Dolenjska/Unterkrain in Slowenien. Die aus elf Siedlungen bestehende Gesamtgemeinde mit dem Hauptort Straža liegt westlich von Novo mesto am Fluss Krka (Gurk). Soteska (deutsch Ainöd, auch Einöd in Unterkrain) ist eine Siedlung am linken Ufer der Krka in der slowenischen Gemeinde Dolenjske Toplice im Südosten des Landes. Vor den Schlossruinen befindet sich ein Museumsdepot mit alten Autos, Wagen und Feuerlöschpumpen, das vom Technischen Museum Sloweniens Bistra betrieben wird. | Description | culture.si/en/Soteska_Depot_of_Vehicles: The vehicle collection is constantly complemented and rotated. When the project for a museum exhibition addressing the whole history of road transport in Slovenia can finally be realised, the most distinguished examples of wagons and carriages will be moved to Bistra, making way for some other vehicles from the Bistra Museum or Borovnica Open Storage Depot. In the future a more detailed presentation of the wagons and carriages collection together with their historical development is planned. |
