Tacoma is situated along Washington's Puget Sound, 32 miles (51 km) southwest of Seattle. Train In addition to a nearby Amtrak Station, within walking distance of ACM, Tacoma’s historic Dome District has its own set of tracks as well. Tacoma Link Light Rail transports visitors from the Dome District, to the Theatre District on the other side of town, and can be caught from various downtown locations. Visitors can also take the Sounder Train from Seattle, which drops visitors off at Freighthouse Square, just blocks away from ACM. Bus Within walking distance of the Sound Transit Tacoma Dome station, Sound Transit Express Bus, Pierce Transit and the Greyhound station, the bus is always an easy way to avoid driving. |
| Description | The ACM Collection consists of automotive artifacts and 250 automobiles spanning over 100 years of automotive history, plus approximately another 100 vehicles on exhibit loan from private collections. Unique to ACM is our open storage galleries for collection vehicles not on active display, giving our visitors the opportunity to see the majority of our collection. Our collection celebrates America’s love affair with the automobile and includes both domestic and foreign marques. |
