Description

Wikipedia 2024-01:
Ye Ole Carriage Shop in Spring Arbor displays more than 60 antique and classic cars, including five one-and-onlys and 16 made in Jackson. One of these is a 1902 JAXON.

yeolecarriageshop.com 1/2012:
Antique and Classic cars are surrounded by a spectacular display of original gas and oil pieces. Several rare "one and only" Jackson made cars are housed here, as well as other Jackson memories.

There were 24 companies that built cars in Jackson. At one time, this industry was the largest employer in Jackson. Ye Ole Carriage Shop houses 18 Jackson-made autos. There are six autos that it does not have; three of those are extinct and three cannot be purchased.

Lloyd collects more than just Jackson-made automobiles. You will be pleasantly surprised to find several classic cars from the 50’s, including a ’57 Chevy Belair Convertible in Matador Red (this was Lloyd’s wedding gift to Judi and her favorite car!) Other favorite models include Thunderbird, Corvair, DaLorean, Lloyd, Crosley, Hudson, Jaguar convertible, Silver Cloud Rolls Royce, and Excalibur convertible. Many auto manufacturing companies are represented including General Motors, Ford Motors, Chrysler, Studebaker, and Dodge.

A 1915 Soda Bar is the setting for the unusual collection of Coca~Cola memorabilia. Pedal Cars are found throughout the museum and in the Toy Room.
