The SCR-65 radio transmitter was manufactured for the United States Signal Corps - Also designated the BC-15. It's a quenched gap (spark) transmitter, first type used in airplanes..
SCR-65s were used aboard aircraft for artillery spotting, relaying information to US ground troops who were picking up the transmissions with their BC-14a and SCR-54a receivers.
