The difference is: Model A uses 6T4 and B the 6AF4 as UHF Oscillator. Tuning range is any one UHF Channel. The converter was shipped pre-tuned for the UHF channel indicated on the unit. The power is obtained from the VHF TV receiver audio output tube socket, through the use of adaptor plugs. It is doing a VHF-UHF changeover.
